Reverse Radar
11.14.2 Description and Operation
11.14.2.1 Description and Operation
1. When reversing (speed less than 5 km/h), reverse radar
system detects the distance between obstacles and the
vehicle and sends out corresponding alarm signals to
ensure the parking safety. However, the obstacles within
30 cm to rear bumper (11.8 in) are not guaranteed to be
detected.
2. Reverse sensor control unit converts the signal traveling
time from the sensor to the obstacle, and then from the
obstacle to the sensor signal to determine the obstacle
distance.
3. Reverse radar system consists of sensors on the rear
bumper, a control unit and a built-in buzzer in the instrument
cluster.
