Disassemble the fork legs. (

Clamp the compression damping fitting in a bench vise using soft jaws.
-
Remove nut
O.
-
Remove the spri ng.
-
Remove washer ••
-
Remove piston •.
-
Remove shim stack •.
-
Remove O-ring. and seal ring. from the compression damping fitting.
-
Extract the compression damping fitting.
Condition
The fork legs must be disassembled.
-
Check the inner tube and axle clamp for damage.
If there is damage:
-
Change the inner tube.
-
Measure the outside diameter at several locations on the inner tube.
Outside diameter of the inner tube
47.975 ... 48.005

If the measured value is below the specified value:
-
Change the inner tube.
