CLEANING

CLEANING STAFF
Cleaning work should be undertaken regularly and carefully by qualifi ed and trained staff .
They should be informed of specifi c hazards during their training.
The following hazards may arise during cleaning work:
Health hazard from inhaling solvent vapors
Use of unsuitable cleaning tools and aids

Danger to life and equipment damage.

Before starting cleaning or other manual work, the high-voltage
must be shut down and locked to prevent it from being switched
back on!
The spray gun must be separated from the high-voltage supply
before any cleaning work is started!
Use only electrically conductive tanks for cleaning liquids!
Ground the tank!
Preference should be given to non-fl ammable cleaning fl uids.
Only cleaning agents of explosion class IIA should be used
(maximum ignition energy 0.24 mJ).
The cleaning agent's fl ash point must be at least 15 K above the
ambient temperature.
Ensure that no electric component is cleaned with or immersed
into solvent.
