. When there is no Diagnostic Trouble Code (DlC) stored, the MIL will stay on if the SCS
service connector is connected and the ignition switch is on.

Code (DTC):
1. Connect a scan tool or Honda
PGM Tester.
2. Turn the ignition switch ON {ll).
3. Read the DTC with the scan
tool or Honda PGM Tester.
Go to troubl6hooting proc€dures.

Ch6ck the DTC by MIL indication:
1. Turn the ignition switch OFF.
2. Connect the SCS service con'
n e c t o r t o t h e s e r v i c e c h e c k
connector.
3. Turn the ignition switch ON (ll).
R€pair opon or short in wire
between the EcM/PcM {c8)
and Oata Link Connector.
Go to troublashooting p.oce-

Does the MIL indicate any DTC?
Try to stan the engine.
Does the engine stan?

2. Stop the engine and turn the
ignition switch ON (ll).
3. N4easure voltage between the
ECM/PCM connector terminal
C7 and body ground.
Repair 3hoft to body ground in
th€ wire botwoen ECM/PCM {C7)
