Once the fade is complete, the <CUT> button lights, indicating the
DSK is on-air.
4.2

Taking a DSK from air

Either one, or both, of the DSKs can be cut or faded from air
independently of a PGM transition.
If the <CUT> button is not lit, the DSK is already off-air.
If the yellow <FOLLOW> button is flashing, then the DSK is set to follow
the next video or DVE transition (section 4.3). This is cancelled if the
DSK is manually taken from air.
The method of taking a DSK from air is independent of the way it was
taken to air.

To take a key off-air, press the <CUT> button for the required DSK.
The Key is cut from air and the <CUT> button lamp goes off.

To fade a key off-air, press the <FADE> button for the required
DSK.
The Key fades down until it is off-air. The <FADE> button is lit
while a fade is in progress. If it is necessary to complete the fade
early, press <CUT>.
Once the fade is complete, the <CUT> button lamp goes off.
