8 Using the audio monitoring

The Audio Monitoring home page (see chapter 12) on the LCD
touchscreen dynamically shows the level for the audio source currently
selected on PGM, PST, AUX and TX (off-air or external source).
In addition, the TX 410 provides a dual channel audio monitor output
for monitoring sources selected on any of these busses or for listening
to the off-air/external input. The audio monitoring buttons and controls
are to the right of the LCD screen.
Any selections made on the audio monitor panel have no effect on the
programme on-air. If the source is selected on the PGM, PST or AUX bus,
the sound heard is modified by selections made on the audio (gain)
setup screen of the display (see chapter 15).
The MONITOR output has a level control and two additional buttons
providing <CUT> (no sound) and <DIM> (reduced volume) operation.
These buttons can be configured to operate as <CUT LEFT> and <CUT
RIGHT> respectively.
In multi-level systems, the audio level to be heard on the TX 410
monitor output can be selected from the LCD screen.
