7 Monitoring using the AUX bus

The TX 410 provides a single auxiliary bus for monitoring sources
without affecting the on-air sources or those that are pre-selected for
the next transition.
Sources for the auxiliary bus are selected from the top row of white
buttons on the source selection panel. The AUX level buttons (to the
right) permit the sources to be either married, or broken away.

Monitoring sources via the AUX bus

To monitor married sources on the AUX bus, ensure that both the
<VIDEO> and <AUDIO> buttons to the right of the AUX source
selection buttons are lit, then press the white button in the AUX
row for the required source.
The source button is lit at full brightness and the <VIDEO> and
<AUDIO> buttons remain lit.

To monitor video and audio from separate sources on the AUX bus:
a) To select a video source, turn the <AUDIO> button OFF (unlit),
and the <VIDEO> ON (lit), then select the new video source.
The new source button is lit at full brightness, indicating a video
only selection. The original source button is lit at half brightness,
indicating audio only.
b) To select an audio source, turn the <VIDEO> button OFF (unlit),
and the <AUDIO> ON (lit), then select the new audio source.
The newly selected source button is lit at half brightness indicating
audio only selection. The original source button is lit at full
brightness, indicating video only.
