If the valve seats cannot be reconditioned by just re-
grinding, they can be replaced with the ones supplied
as spare parts. Using a specific tool and taking care
not to nick the cylinder head, remove as much mate-
rial as possible from the valve seats until it is possible
to extract them from the cylinder head with the aid of
a punch.

Heat the cylinder head to 80 to 100 °C (176 to
212 °F) and, using a suitable drift, insert the new
valve seats, previously cooled.
Then regrind the valve seats according to the values
given in Figure 271.
