Place the spring over the stationary-sheave
hub and hook the turned down end of the
spring into the hole in the casting of the
movable sheave.

5. Place the torque bracket over the spring
and hook the turned up end of the spri ng in-
to the second hole (standard spring ten-
sion) of the torque bracket.
6. Align the keyway in the torque bracket with
the key in the stationary-sheave hub.

Carefully push t~e torque bracket onto the
stationary-sheave hub just far enough to
contact the key.
Rotate the movable sheave counterclock-
wise until there is a slight resistance
(spring pressure); then rotate the movable
sheave an additional 120
°.
9. Push the torque bracket down on the
stationary-sheave hub until it bottoms on
the bearing.
10. Install the retaining ring in the groove of
the stationary-sheave hub .
