per minute.

specified,
inspect for

air leak with
soapy water or completely submerge
the pressurized
engine
in
clean
fresh
water.
Repair
as
needed.

case

with

SEAL.
Place the CDI
unit into
position on
the
magneto
case
and secure

bolts

washers.

Insert the
wiring
harness
through th

cutout and

grommet;

place

clamp

secure with
the
screw and
lock
washer.

22. Place the starter pulley into position on the
flywheel and secure with three bolts and
lock washers. Using a spanner
wrench,
tighten bolts to 0. 7 kg-m
(5
ft-lb).

Apply LOCTITE LOCK N' SEAL to the
crankshaft
threads; then install the washer,
lock
washer,
and nut securing the flywheel .
Using
a
spanner wrench, tighten the
flywheel nut to 6.8-8.7 kg-m (49-63 ft-lb).

24. Place an exhaust-manifold gasket on each
exhaust port making sure the metal side of
the gasket faces the cylinder; then place

the exhaust manifold into position and
secure with four lock washers and nuts.

Install the key in the crankshaft and slide
the flywheel onto the crankshaft making
sure the keyways match.
Tighten the nuts to 1.5-1.9 kg-m (11-14 ft-lb).
NOTE:
lhe
exhaust manifold spring
bracket should be on top.
