REMOVING
1.
Remove the drive belt .
2.
Remove the cap-lock screw and washers
securing the driven pulley; then remove the
driven pulley. Account for the key and any
washers.

1.
Rotate the pulley sheaves in opposite
directions just enough so the shoe-ramp
slides
are
not
contacting
the
torque
bracket.
2.
Force the torque bracket downward slight-
ly; then remove retaining ring from the
groove in the stationary-sheave hub.

Carefully allow the torque bracket to slide
off the stationary-sheave hub; then slide
spring off hub.

Using a pliers, remove the st:ioe-ramp
slides.

Remove key from stationary-sheave hub.
6.
SI ide movable sheave off stationary-sheave
hub.
CLEANING
1.
Using parts cleaning solvent, wash grease
and foreign matter off all parts.
2.
Using parts clea·ning solvent only, remove
the drive belt dust accumulation from the
sheaves.
CAUTION
DO NOT
use
steel wool or wire brush
to

cracked, defective, or damaged in any.

Inspect shoe-ramp slides for damage or
wear.
2.
Inspect the sheaves for any broken or loose
rivets.

3.
Inspect
sheaves
for
rough

Inspect torque bracket for cracks, wear,
and other: noticeable damage.
