Open the bleeder valve; then pump the
brake lever several times to pump the fluid
out of the system.

Remove the two bolts and lock nuts secur-
ing the caliper housing; then remove hous-
ing.

Remove the cable ties securing the
handlebar pad; then roll the pad back ex-
posing control wires, cable, and hose.

Remove the tapping screw securing the
master-cylinder housing to the handlebar.

Disconnect the wiring harness from the
master-cylinder housing.
8.
Pull the master-cylinder housing off the
handlebar; then remove the hydraulic hose
from the master-cylinder housing and the
caliper housing.
NOTE: The
housing will
force the
handlebar grip off.
9.
Remove the retaining
ring and
ret aining pin
securing the brake lever to
the
hou sing;
then remove lever.
