Place console plate into position and
secure with two rivets.

A. Place the speedometer into position
and secure making sure the gasket and
retainer plate are properly positioned.
Install the insert and rim.
B. Place the tachometer, speedometer,
and temperature gauge into position
and secure making sure the gasket and
retainer plate are properly positioned.

Place console into position; then secure
the console with four
tapping
screws
and
two washers.

Install the fuel-tank cap and spill seal.

Install the seat cushion.

Connect the speedometer drive cable;
then connect the wires to the speed-
ometer .

Connect the speedometer drive cable;
then connect the wires to the speed-
ometer, tachometer, and temperature
gauge.

Install recoil bushing and secure with the
push nut.

Ttiread the recoil rope through the recoil
bushing and recoil handle. Tie a knot in the
end of the recoi I rope. Pu 11 the rope to re-
move the slipknot near the recoil case; then
af low the rope to retract.
9.
Slide the ignition switch and the choke
cable through the console; secure the
choke cable with a knurled nut and the igni-
tion switch with the ignition nut and wash-
er:.
Connect the wires to the ignition switch.

REMOVING TOOLBOX
AND TAILLIGHT
1.
Remove the
seat cushion
.
2.
Remove the
toolbox
pad.
3.
Chisel
or drill
out
the
rivets
securing
the
toolbox
shroud to the
tunnel
;
then
remove
the
two
metal
screws and
wash ers sec
ur-
ing
taillight
assembly to the
toolbox
and
remove
toolbox.
4.
Disconnect
wiring
harness
from
tai
lli
ght;
then remove the rivet securing the
ground
•
wire.
5.
Remove the two
metal
screws securi
ng
taillight
lens;
then
remove
lens,
gasket,
and
bulb.
