5. Place the front bumper into position and
secure with 18 machine screws and lock
nuts making sure the hood channels are
properly positioned. Install the end caps.

NOTE: On the 5000, do not install the lock
nut which will later secure the hood cable.
6. Place the hood into position and secure
with lock nut. Connect the headlight
harness.
7. A. Secure hood cable with a washer and
lock nut.
8. Install the hood cable. Secure the muf-
fler to the belly pan with two machine
screws, washers, and lock nuts.
8. Thoroughly clean the bumper surface; then
place the reflectorized strip into position.
Trim the ends of the strip to match contour
of the bumper .
9. A. Place the hood straps into position and
secure with two machine screws and
lock nuts making sure the cup washers
and washers are properly positioned.

B. Place the latch cups into position and
secure with four rivets.

Removing Windshield
and Headlight
1. Remove the eight mac hine screws secur-
ing windshield and remove th e w indshield
and trim strips. Acc ount for ei ght expan·
sion nuts.
2. Disconnect th e headlight harness.
3. Remove the rivet s sec uring the headlight
bracket to th e hood.
4. Remove headlight assembly from the
bracket by removin g the fou r adju sting
screws, adjusting nuts, and sp rings. Ac-
count for th e hood-cabl e sprin g.

Installing Windshield
and Headlight
Secure headlight assembly to the bezel
with four adjusting screws, adjusting nuts,
and springs. Account for the hood-cable
spring.
2. Secure bracket to hood with rivets.
3. Connect the headlight harness.
4. Install eight expansion nuts in the holes of
the hood. Place the windshield and trim
strips into position and secure with eight
machine screws.
NOTE: Tighten the screws starting from
the center and working outward.
5. Adjust headlight aim.
