operation
of the brake.

1.
Pour clean DOT-3 brake fluid into a clean
plastic squeeze bottle or squirt can.
NOTE: Pour enough fluid into the bottle or
squirt can to fill the master cylinder and
hose. If the bottle or squirt can runs out of fluid
during the bleeding procedure, air will be in·
jected. If this occurs, drain the system and re·
peat procedure.
2.
Place a piece of clear flexible tubing (Arctic
gas hose) over the spout of the bottle or
squirt can and the ball of the bleeder valve.

NOTE: Be sure the tubing is full of brake
fluid before placing on ball of bleeder
valve.

Open the bleeder valve.

4.
Remove the two tapping screws securing
the master-cylinder cover and bellows.
5.
Inject brake fluid into the caliper housing
and up to the master cylinder.
6.
Continue to inject fluid until the hose is
free of air bubbles and master cylinder is
filled to within 3 mm (1/8 in.) of the top.
7.
Close the bleeder valve.
8.
Install the bellows and master-cylinder
cover and secure with two tapping screws ..
