Secure the rear of the engine plate to the
front end with two cap-lock screws making
sure the female mounts and cup washers
are properly positioned. Tighten to 3.2 kg-m
(23
ft-lb).
NOTE: On the 6000, connect the hood
cable to the engine support.

B.
Place the temperature-gauge sender in-
to position on the head, apply a thread
sealant to the threads of the sender,
and tighten securely.

NOTE: On the 5000, make sure the boots
are properly positioned.

Connect the main
wiring
harness,

coil
wiring harness

and the
spark-plug
caps.
NOTE: On the 5000, install the protector
into the head.
10. Place the recoil into position
and secure
with four bolts
and
lock
washers
.
Ti
ghten
bolts to 0.7
kg-m (5 ft-lb).

Place the pulse charger into position.
Secure the pulse charger to the front
end with a spring and clamp; then
secure to the exhaust manifold with two
springs. Seal the pulse charger bal I
joints with ATV 732 or equivalent.
