User units
All path information in motion commands are
made in user units and are converted to quad-
counts internally. By choosing these scaling units
correspondingly it is possible to work with any
technical measurement unit (for example mm).
This factor is a fraction which consists of a nume-
rator and denominator.

When program files are protected not only com-
piled but also by source coding, the file can be
read back again, edited new, or duplicated for
other controls at a later date.
Long Telegrams
The introduction of a different communication
module (the use of long telegram types) significant-
ly shortens the transmission time of long files (for
example when downloading files, or reading back
test run results).
