SMOD Population Rules

The Oracle Server X7-8 supports two installed SMODs. Both SMOD0 System A and SMOD1
System B are accessable from the back panel.

Remove an SMOD

Perform this procedure to access internal SMOD components, such as the HBA card, the
internal USB ports, the ESM, and the system battery.
Before You Begin
Note -
For component serviceability, locations, and designations, see
Components" on page
Obtain labels and a pen for labeling cables.
Prepare the server for cold service.
