Upgrade the Server from Four to Eight CMODs (FRU)

Prepare the server for service. Choose one of the following methods:
1.
Prepare the server for warm service.

Access CMODs behind the FMs using a warm or cold-service procedure.
Prepare the server for cold service.
■
Access CMODs behind the FMs using a warm or cold-service procedure.

Remove all eight fan modules. See

Remove both fan frames. See
3.
In a four-CPU configuration, the four CMOD slots on the right side of the server are vacant.
