10-56. ENGINE OIL PRESSURE GAUGE.
10-57. GENERAL. The oil pressure gauge is mounted in the cluster on the instrument panel. This gauge
will indicate the amount of oil pressure available at the pressurized engine oil passage in psi.
10-58. TROUBLESHOOTING.

Pointer loose on shaft.
Overpressure or season-
ing of bourdon tube.
Improper calibration
adjustment.
Replace instrument.
Replace instrument.
Excessive pointer
oscillation.
Sluggish operation
of pointer or pres-
sure fails to build up.
Air in line or rough
engine relief valve.
Engine relief valve
open.
Line restriction to
instrument.
Disconnect line and
fill with light oil.
Check for leaks. If
trouble persists, clean
and adjust relief valve.
Clean and check
Clean and check.
Loss of oil in engine
or other engine
failure.
Shut down engine
immediately, refer
to Table VIII-I.
NOTE
Gauge will take longer to indicate in cold weather.
