during fast taxi,
take-off and landing.
Internal wear in
shimmy dampener.
Shimmy dampener or
bracket loose at
mounting.
Replace shimmy damp-
ener.
Replace necessary parts
and bolts.
Tire out of balance.
Check balance and
replace tire if neces-
sary.
Worn or loose wheel
bearings.
Replace and/or adjust
wheel bearings.
Worn torque link bolts
and/or bushings.
Replace bolts and/or
bushings.
Main landing gear
shimmies during fast
taxi. take-off and
landing.
Tire out of balance.
Worn or loose wheel
bearings.
Check balance and re-
place tire if necessary.
Replace and/or adjust
wheel bearings.
Worn torque link bolts
and/or bushings.
Replace bolts and/or
bushings.
Strut bottoms on
normal landing or
when taxiing over
rough ground.
Excessive or uneven
wear on main tires.
Insufficient air and
/or fluid in strut.
Defective internal
parts in strut.
Incorrect operating
pressure.
Service strut with air
and/or fluid.
Replace defective parts.
Inflate tire to correct
pressure.
