1-15. RADIO. Provisions are provided for the installations of microphone and headset
jacks, loudspeaker, and panel space for radios.
1-16. CABIN HEATER. DEFROSTER. AND FRESH AIR SYSTEM. Heat for the cabin
interior and defroster system is provided by a heater muff attached to the exhaust system.
Controls for these systems are located on the lower right side of the instrument panel. There
are six heater outlets, one for each seat. Fresh air inlets are located in the leading edge of the
wing at the intersection of the tapered and straight sections. Two large adjustable outlets are
located on each side of the cabin, one forward and one aft of the front seats near the floor.
In addition, an air scoop is located on top of the fuselage or in the leading edge of the fin on
newer models which directs air to individually adjustable, overhead outlets above each seat.
1-17. INSTRUMENT AND AUTOPILOT SYSTEM. Provisions for instrument installation
include panels for engine instruments and advanced instruments, as well as for an Autopilot
system.
