21.1.1 Command Examples

This example enables PPPoE IA on VLAN 100 and configures the circuit ID and remote ID to carry
some extra information respectively.
• circuit ID: the receiving slot and port numbers + the C VLAN for the DSL line information.
• remote ID: the receiving port number + the PPPoE client's MAC address for the subscriber line
identification.
ras# show pppoe vlan 100
ras# config
ras(config)# pppoe intermediate-agent vlan 100

DESCRIPTION
Disables PPPoE intermediate agent on the specified VLAN.
Configures the PPPoE intermediate Agent circuit ID format on the
specified VLAN.
info: up to 127 ASCII characters of additional information for the IES
to add to the VLAN's PPPoE packets. See
more information.
Disables PPPoE intermediate Agent circuit ID on the specified VLAN.
Configures the PPPoE intermediate Agent remote ID format on the
specified VLAN.
info: up to 127 ASCII characters of additional information for the IES
to add to the VLAN's PPPoE packets. See

Disables PPPoE intermediate Agent remote ID on the specified VLAN.
Displays the PPPoE settings on the specified VLAN.
Performs a PPPoE session test. The IES sends PPPoE frames tagged
with the specified subscriber VLAN ID or double-tagged VLAN IDs to
the uplink PPPoE server. Use this command to check PPPoE handshake
issues.
Performs a PPPoE session test. The IES sends untagged PPPoE frames
to the uplink PPPoE server. Use this command to check PPPoE
handshake issues.
