8.7 Communication via USS
If the response identifier is 7 (cannot process request), then one of the fault numbers listed in
the next table will be stored in parameter value 2 (PWE2).

Fault numbers for "Cannot process request" response
Meaning
Illegal parameter number (PNU)
Parameter value cannot be modified
Minimum/maximum not reached/exceeded
Faulty subindex
No array
Parameter type is wrong / incorrect data type
Setting not allowed (resetting only)
Descriptive element cannot be modified
No status as master control
Key word missing
Text array is not available
Request cannot be processed due to operating
state
Change request for a value which is between the
lower an the upper limit
Parameter number currently deactivated
Response does not fit into buffer
Illegal parameter value
Request not implemented / Task not supported
PKW request access timeout or number of retries
is exceeded or wait for response from CPU side.
Modified minimum/maximum not
reached/exceeded
Available access authorization does not cover
modification of parameters
Parameter does not exist
Parameter is a read-only parameter
–
–
Single parameter has been accessed
with array request and subindex > 0
Mix-up between word and double
word
–
Description can never be modified
Modification request without status as
master control (see P0927)
–
–
Current inverter status is not
compatible with the received request
There are other reasons why the
change request is not allowed; it is a
parameter with defined single values
Dependent on inverter status
Dependent on the number of PKW
and the maximum net data length in
the drive
Parameter permits only certain values
After request identifier 5, 10, 15
Minimum/maximum can be further
limited in operation
