describes the fields on the Scomms dialog.
Description
Indicates receipt of a connect message from a shelf to the
CMS. This figure must not exceed 1. If it does, the
communications link was reset after startup.
The CPU sends a message to ensure that the system is still
connected. If the CMS does not acknowledge this message
within 300ms, the communications link is reset and the CPU
sends a Start Poll message.
Displays the number of retries made before a message is
received. If the shelf sends a message and the message is
not acknowledged after a certain time, the CMS resends it.
The message that the shelf sends back to the CPU if the
shelf cannot understand the messages sent. This additional
message leads to an increase in the number of retries.
This field displays the state of the SCOMMS application. It
is used as a diagnostic tool for Avaya engineers.
Indicates the number of messages received that is
nonprotocol. This number must be the same as Rx to AC.
Indicates the number of messages received by the CMS. It
is a count of how many incoming messages are handed up
to application.
Transmitting messages. This number increases whenever
a message is sent to shelf.
