Chapter 5 Detailed Function Introductions
5.1 Basic Function (Group P0)
P0.00 Menu display mode
0: Standard menu
Notes:
Pressing "FWD/REV" will switch the direction, and change the value of this parameter P0.08. But the
changed direction only takes effect currently.
Only by changing value of function code and pressing "ENTER" to save the value, keypad direction
setting will be saved permanently.
Direction priority: Terminal set is the highest, second is set by communication, keypad is the lowest. If the high one
is invalid, the lower priority will take effect. When P0.00 is set to 1, enter the menu check mode. In this mode, you
can view and modify each modified function code by the knob adjustment. The remaining unmodified function code
will be shielded.
P0.01 Control mode
0: V/F control
2: Open loop vector control
Notes:
V / F control: When using one inverter to drive more than one motor, please select the control mode when
self-tuning of parameters of motors cannot be performed correctly or the parameters of motors cannot be
obtained correctly through other means.
Closed-loop vector control: It is speed sensor closed-loop vector control mode, mainly used in places have
strict requirements for control performance, such as places required to realize high accuracy speed control,
torque control, etc. When selecting the control mode, it is necessary to install pulse coder and other speed
sensors, and relevant parameters of the encoder should be correctly set. The control mode is exclusive for
ALPHA6000V series inverters.
Open loop vector control: It is sensorless vector control mode, can be used in ordinary high-performance
variable speed drive places.
V/F separation control: The control mode can be used in some places where are required to control the
frequency and the voltage independently.
Tips:
When selecting open loop or closed loop vector control mode control mode, if the motor is not default ordinary
quadrupole asynchronous motor, it is required to correctly set the nameplate parameters of the motor first, and carry
out self-tuning of parameter of motor to obtain accurate parameters of motor. To obtain the best control performance,
it is suggested to carry out nameplate parameter setting and self-tuning of motor parameters before the initial
running; and to set the relevant parameters of vector control correctly, please see description of Group P8 vector
control parameters for details.
Note that in this control mode, usually, one inverter motor can only control one motor, and the power class of the
inverter should not be too different from that of the motor, power class of the motor can be one class bigger or
smaller than that of the inverter, otherwise it will result in poor control performance or improper running.
P0.02 Reference frequency
Notes:
When the function code P0.03 or P0.04 = 1, the function is enabled when setting frequency digital setting
with a keypad. It defined the frequency set point of the inverter.
