Chapter 8: Maintenance
Lubricating the Syringe
Perform this instruction after every three months of operation to ensure that the Analyzer is operating with
adequately lubricated syringes.
To lubricate the syringe
Before you begin, locate the Syringe Lubrication Kit that came with the Analyzer's Accessory Kit. You will also
need to provide a 3/32 in. Allen (hex key) wrench.
1.
Turn off the water supply to the Analyzer. If the Analyzer is taking measurements, press the Stop
Analysis button.
2.
Using the Maintenance screen, shut down the Analyzer.
3.
Turn off the power to the Analyzer, and unplug the power cord or disconnect the main power.
4.
Open the door to the inside of the instrument.
5.
Using a 3/32 Allen wrench, loosen and remove the screw that secures the syringe. Remove any washers
under the block, and retain them for reinstallation.
