Chapter 9: Troubleshooting
6431 – Firmware Update Error
Message: "Please shut down the Analyzer and power cycle. Retry the upgrade. If the problem persists, please
export the errors and contact GE Analytical Instruments for further instructions."
Explanation: This error would occur only when a new version of firmware is being installed in the Analyzer.
6432 – Datastore Error
Message: "Please shut down the Analyzer and power cycle. If the problem persists, please export the errors and
contact GE Analytical Instruments for further instructions."
Explanation: An error has been found during writing to the data history portion of the flash memory card on the
Analyzer's System Controller Board. Archiving the Datastore manually may alleviate the issue. See "Archiving the
Data History" on page 146 for instructions. If this error persists, please contact GE Analytical Instruments.
6433 – Sparger Gas Flow Error
Message: "Go to the Diagnostics screen and run the Gas Valves test (V7-SH). If the gas flow rate fails to maintain
200 cc/min, please export the errors and contact GE Analytical Instruments for further instructions."
Explanation: The flow rate of gas through the sparger was found to be too low. The sparger frit may be plugged,
or there may be a problem with valve V7-SH or with the gas tubing. Check that the correct gas flow is exiting the
Gas Supply Module.
6434 – Carrier Bypass Gas Flow Error
Message: "Go to the Diagnostics screen and run the Gas Valves test (V1-R). If the gas flow rate fails to maintain
165 cc/min, please export the errors and contact GE Analytical Instruments for further instructions."
Explanation: The flow rate of carrier gas through valve V1-R was found to be too low. There may be a problem
with valve V1-R or with the gas tubing. The NDIR filter also may be plugged. Check that the correct gas flow is
exiting the Gas Supply Module. Valves V4-R or V5-R not opening could also cause this error to appear.
6435 – Reactor Gas Flow Error
Message: "Go to the Diagnostics screen and run the Gas Valves test (V2-R). If the gas flow rate fails to maintain
165 cc/min, please export the errors and contact GE Analytical Instruments for further instructions."
Explanation: The flow rate of carrier gas through valve V2-R was found to be too low. The Reactor may be
plugged. There also may be a problem with valve V2-R, V7-R, or with the gas tubing. The NDIR filter may be
plugged. Check that the correct gas flow is exiting the Gas Supply Module.
