Chapter 6: Analyzer Operation

The Main Screen

The Main screen provides important status information for the Analyzer. As shown in Figure 21, the Main screen
identifies the type of measurement the Analyzer is set up to make (Online, Check Standard, Grab, or Rinse), and it
identifies its state (Standby or its Status when making a measurement).
When the Analyzer is set up to perform Online measurements, tabs appear along the top of the screen that
identify the sample streams that are enabled (set for measurement when analysis is started), and whether or not
the Check Standard is enabled. For example, when stream 1 is enabled, the S1 tab appears, and so on. When the
Check Standard is enabled, the CS tab appears.
If no stream tabs appear, this indicates that the Analyzer is set to perform only one or more manual
measurements, such Check Standard, Grab, or Rinse measurements.
The Main screen provides the following options:
Start Analysis button — Press this button to initiate measurements with the most current Analyzer
settings. After analysis begins, the button changes to Stop Analysis.
Menu button — Press this button to display the Menu screen and change the Analyzer's settings.
Peaks or Trend button — When making Online measurements, press the Peaks or Trend button to
toggle the display between a graphical view of the CO
a graphical view of the most recent seven days of measurement results.S1, S2, S3, S4, and S5 tabs —
When making Online measurements, select (press) any of these tabs (located along the top of the
screen) to display peaks or data from each enabled stream.
