About 90% of the initial strength of the oxidizer reagent is retained for 30 days at 25 °C, but less than 1.5 days at
40°C. Therefore, the oxidizer reagent should be replaced more often when it is stored at temperatures over 25

To prepare the persulfate oxidizing solution
It is a good laboratory habit to not mix new persulfate solution with aged persulfate solution because of the
diluting possibility. It is recommended that any aged persulfate oxidizing solution be disposed of appropriately
before preparing a new solution.
These instructions cover creating 2L of oxidizer reagent. You may need to repeat these steps for additional
quantities, as needed, to fill or refill the InnovOx 19L (5 gal) carboy.
1.
If the 600 g pouches of oxidizer are being prepared in a 2L bottle, go to steps 3a-3d. Otherwise, when
mixing the oxidizer powder and water directly in the carboy, follow the directions on the carboy's label.
a. Open the oxidizer pouch and pour the entire contents (600 g) into the "Persulfate Oxidizing Solution"
2 L bottle (Oxidizer prep bottle from the Accessories Kit).
b. Add deionized water or comparable water to the fill line. This makes 2 L of oxidizer reagent.
c. Seal the container with the bottle cover that does not have a hole, and shake the bottle to dissolve
the oxidizer.
d. Transfer the solution to the 5-gallon oxidizer carboy.
2.
Repeat steps 1a-1d until the 5-gallon oxidizer carboy is filled with the desired volume of solution.
