Installing the Alarms and System Fault Output Connection

Four user-configured alarms are provided on TB3 and TB4. They may be assigned to any of the sample streams.
The concentration at which the alarm is triggered is set as described in "Setting Up Input and Output (I/O)" on
page 137.
The fifth alarm (the "System Fault Alarm") is configured to transmit an alarm whenever an Error is detected in
the Analyzer.
All of the alarms can be wired in both Normally Open (NO) and Normally Closed (NC) configurations.

Installing the Ethernet Connection

The Ethernet connection provides an additional means of capturing data from the Analyzer. Using Modbus,
commands may be issued to the Analyzer as well as collecting data. Refer to "Using the Ethernet Connection
and Modbus" on page 140 for details on the use of Modbus.
The Ethernet cable may be connected directly to a computer if a cross-over cable is used (Figure 10: Connecting
the Analyzer to a Computer). Or, as shown in see Figure 11, a straight-through Ethernet cable is used to connect
to a network.
