Chapter 9: Troubleshooting

Gas Liquid Separator, NDIR Filter, NDIR Sample Path and Sparger Leak Check

Pull the pinch valve tubing out of V7-R.
Clamp the black Gas/Liquid waste line shut on the Gas Liquid Separator.
Block the NDIR end cap purge line with a plug.
Go to the Maintenance Diagnostics Gas Leak menu and press Reactor Bypass. You may need to press
the button 5 or 6 times to fully pressurize the system. The pressure should hold at some value
(magnitude depends on gas supply settings) above ambient pressure indefinitely. If this is not the case
and the pressure goes back down to ambient levels, then troubleshoot the source of the leak.
Relieve system pressure by opening the clamp and hen remove the end cap purge line plug.
Reinstall the pinch tubing into V7-SH.

The information and instructions included in this section apply only if you are using a
OTE
Filter Panel with the Analyzer.
Operation of the pneumatic valves that control the optional Filter Panels can be tested.
Press the Pneumatic Valves button on the Diagnostics screen. The following screen appears:
Ensure that the source of compressed air is connected to the Analyzer. Press appropriate button to check the
selected pneumatic valve. PV1-MS refers to the pneumatic valve in position 1, PV2-MS in position 2, etc. When
the button is pressed, you should hear compressed air exit the selected valve, which is mounted on the left side
of the Analyzer.
