This signals the ECM when the engine is cranking.

NOTE:
a M/T: Clutch pedal must be
oeprgsseo.
a A/T: Trsnsmission in lll or LIJ position.

Connect the lest harness botween
the ECM and connector (see page
1 1 , 3 7 ) .
Measure voltage between 89 (+)
terminal and 426 (-) terminal
with the ignition switch in the
start position.
Inspect No. 18 STARTER SIGNAL
{7.5 A) fuse in the under-dash
fuse/relav box.
