TABLE 2-4
Type of Test
Description
Tests internal or external SCSI
test disk
disks that have a self-diagnostic
test disk0
program contained in the drive
test disk1
controller (disk0 = SCSI address
test disk2
0, disk1 = SCSI address 1, disk2
test disk3
= SCSI address 2, disk and
disk3 = SCSI address 3).
Performs a self-test diagnostic on
test cdrom
the CD-ROM drive.
Tests the SCSI tape drive by
test tape
executing the drive self-test
test tape0
program. tape and tape 0 are
test tape1
the first tape drive. tape 1 is the
second tape drive.
Outputs an alphanumeric test
test ttya
pattern on the system serial ports
test ttyb

serial port B).
Executes the keyboard self- test.

should flash on once, and the
message Keyboard Present is

false, it tests the memory
according to the number specified
in selftest-#megs.
Tests all devices in the system
test-all
(such as SBus cards) that have a
built-in test program. Hard disks,
tapes, and CD-ROMs are not
tested.
Displays seconds from the
watch-clock
system's Time-of-Day chip.
Monitors broadcast Ethernet
watch-net
