Liquid Cooling System
The liquid cooling system consists of a radiator,
water pump,
t hermostat, thermostat
by-pass, and
IVO
heat
exchangers
.
The
system shou ld be in·
dpected
for leaks or damage whenever an over-
heating problem is expe rienced.

INSPECTING THERMOSTAT
1.
I
nspect the thermostat
fo
r
corrosion, wear, or
spring
damage.
2.
Using the following procedure,
inspect the
thermostat
fo
r
proper operation.
a. Suspend the thermostat in a container fi
ll-
ed with water.
b.
Heat
the
water
and
monitor
the
temperature with a
thermometer.
c.
The
thermostat should open at 50
0
C (122
0
F)
.
