1. Remove the nuts securing t he exhaust
manifold; then remove the exhaust manifo ld.
Account for two gaskets.
2. Remove the 15 bolts, lock washers, and
washers securing the top and exhaust-s ide
) cooling shrouds.

3. Disconnect the spark-p lug caps from the
spark plugs.
4. Loosen the clamps; then pull t he two oi l-
in jection hoses from their f ittings on the in-
take insu lator blocks . Remove the four nuts
that secure the carburetor flanges and in-
su lator b locks to the cy linders and remove.
Remove the flanges and insulator blocks and
discard a ll intake gaskets.

5. Remove t he intake cool ing shroud from the
eng ine. Remove the intake gaskets from
behind the shroud and discard.

6. Lift the upper cooling shroud from t he engine.
Slide the exhaust-side coo ling shroud off t he
exhaust-man ifo ld studs. Account for the two
exhaust gaskets beh ind the shroud.
