CHAPTER 8 ELECTRICAL
2. the taillight fails to come on
1. Bulb and bulb socket
CHECK SWITCHES
CONTINUITY
2. Voltage
Connect the pocket tester (DC20V) to
the bulb
socket connector.
Tester (+) lead→
Black terminal
Tester (-) lead→
Green terminal
Turn the main switch to on.
Turn the lights switch to on pilot position.
Check the voltage (12V) on the bulb
socket connector
This circuit is not faulty
ATV SERVICE MANUAL 07.0
NO CONTINUITY
Replace the bulb and /or bulb
socket
OUT OF SPECIFICATION
The wiring circuit from main
switch to
bulb connector of faulty.
