CHAPTER 3A ENGINE
ROCKER ARM
SHAFTRE MOVAL
1. Remove:
Rocker arm shaft (intake)
Rocker arm shaft (exhaust)
NOTE:
Attach a rocker arm shaft puller bolt
weight to the rocker arm shaft and slide out
the shaft.

CAM SHAFT INSPECTION

1. Inspect:
Cam lobes
Pitting/Scratches/Blue
place .
2. Measure:
Cam lobes length ○
Out of specification → Replace.
Cam lobes length:
Intake:

36 .545- 36 .645 mm

30.021-30.121 mm

Exhaust:

36 .547- 36 .647 mm

3. Inspect:
Cam shaft oil passage
→
Stuffed Blow
compressed air.
ROCKER ARMS AND ROCKER ARM SHAFTS
INSPECTION
1. Inspect:
Cam lobe contact surface
Adjuster surface
Wear/Pitting/Scratches/Blue discoloration→
260/ 300 cc
AND ROCKER
discoloration

Reverse the removal procedure for
installation
