„ Specifying JPEG compression default
This sets the compression rate used when performing color scanning with the JPEG file
format.

Press <Menu>.

Press [Setting].

Select "Default Setting", and press [Enter].

Select "Scanner Settings", and press [Enter].

Select "JPEG Compression", and press [Enter].

Select the default value, and press [Enter].

Normal :

Decreases the compression rate. This option reduces image degradation, but the
data size will be larger.
Normal compression rate.
Suppresses the data size and shortens the forwarding time, but increases the
level of image degradation.
