DRIVE CHAIN SLACK ADJUSTMENT
2. Check:
S Drive chain slack a
Out of specification ! Adjust.
Drive chain slack:
40 X 50 mm
3. Loosen:
S Caliper bracket bolt 1
S Axle nut 2
4. Adjust:
S Drive chain slack
Adjustment steps:
S Loosen both locknuts 3 .
S Turn the adjusters 4 in or out until the speci-
fied slack is obtained.
Turnning in:
Turnning out:
NOTE:
Turn each adjuster exactly the same amount to
maintain correct axle alignment.
(There are marks a on each side of the swin-
garm. Use them to check for proper alignment.)
S Tighten the axle nut and caliper bracket bolt to
specification, while pushing the chain tight.
Axle nut:
107 Nm (10.7 mSkg)
Caliper bracket bolt:
35 Nm (3.5 mSkg)
S Tighten the locknuts.
