CARBURETOR SYNCHRONIZATION
7. Adjust:
S Carburetor synchronization
Adjustment steps:
S Synchronize carburetor #1 to carburetor #2 by
turning synchronizing screw 1 until both
gauges read the same.
S Race the engine for less than a second, two or
three times and check the synchronization
again.
Intake vacuum at idle speed:
36.0 X 38.7 kPa (270 X 290 mm Hg)
NOTE:
The difference between both carburetors should
be 0.67 kPa (5 mm Hg) or less.
8. Check:
S Engine idling speed
Out of specification ! Adjust.
9. Stop the engine and detach the measuring
equipment.
10. Adjust:
S Throttle cable free play
Refer to "THROTTLE CABLE FREE PLAY AD-
JUSTMENT".
Free play:
3 X 5 mm
At throttle grip flange
11. Install:
S Fuel tank
S Side cover
S Seat
S Side cowling
Refer to "COWLINGS, SEAT, TAIL COVER
AND FUEL TANK".
