3. Starter motor
S Remove the starter motor from the engine.
S Check the starter motor.
Refer to "INSPECTION AND REPAIR".
4. Starting circuit cut-off relay
S Disconnect the starting circuit cut-off relay
coupler from the wire harness.
S Connect the pocket tester (Ω
(12 V) to the starting circuit cut-off relay cou-
pler terminals.
Battery (+) terminal !
Battery (–) terminal !
Black/Yellow terminal
Tester (+) terminal ! Blue/White terminal
Tester (–) terminal ! Blue/White terminal
S Check the starting circuit cut-off relay for conti-
nuity.
ELECTRIC STARTING SYSTEM
:
MOVES
1) and battery
Red/Black terminal
CONTINUITY
:
WARNING
This check is likely to produce sparks, so be
sure that no flammable gas or fluid is in the
vicinity.
DOES NOT MOVE
S Repair or replace starter motor.
Refer to "INSPECTION AND REPAIR".
