INSPECTION/INSTALLATION/FUSE INSPECTION
2. Inspect:
S Battery terminal
Dirty ! Clean with a wire brush.
Poor connection ! Correct.
NOTE:
After cleaning the terminals, grease them lightly.
INSTALLATION
1. Install:
S Battery assembly 1
NOTE:
S During installation, be sure the projection a on
the battery box aligns with the grommet on the
frame.
S Pass the battery leads through the cable guide

2. Install:
S Positive terminal cover 1
S Negative terminal cover 2
NOTE:
S Connect the battery positive lead first and then
the negative lead.
S After connecting the leads, securely cover the
terminals with the covers.
FUSE INSPECTION
CAUTION:
Always turn off the main switch when check-
ing or replacing the fuse. Otherwise, a short
circuit may occur.
1. Remove:
S Seat
Refer to "COWLINGS, SEAT, TAIL COVER
AND FUEL TANK".
