Removing secondary swinging arm

– Remove silencer system.

Slightly raise BMW C1 on lifter (arrow),
BMW No. 00 1 570.

Disengage breather hose (4) from clip (5).
Additional work: vehicles with ABS:
•
Open cable tie (2) for ABS sensor cable on sec-
ondary swinging arm.
•
Remove fasteners (1, 2, 6, 7) of secondary
swinging arm and remove the swinging arm.

When installing:

Install the ABS sensor cable carefully and secure it
with cable ties.

Secondary swinging arm M8 ........................ 21 Nm
Secondary swinging arm M10
(+Loctite 243) ............................................... 60 Nm

Replacing Silentblocs

Remove Silentbloc with
mandrel, BMW No. 33 6 691, and
sleeve, BMW No. 33 6 692.
Installation is the reverse of the removal proce-
dure.
