Caution:
Remember to remove stud, BMW No. 11 7 531.
•
Install chain tensioner.
Operating fluids:
Loctite ..............................................................243
X
Tightening torque
Fastener for chain guide............................... 10 Nm
Camshaft gears ........................................... 30 Nm

Removing drive swinging

– Remove left service cover.
– Remove the right rear side section.
•
Disconnect cables and lines:
•
Air temperature to intake air silencer
•
Oxygen sensor
•
Ignition trigger
•
Alternator
•
Idle actuator
•
Water temperature
•
Starter - and + cables
•
Oil pressure switch
L
Note:
Pull both cables through toward the right and disen-
gage the clip on the water hose.
•
Disconnect spark plug cap.
•
Remove screws securing injector valve.
•
Disengage throttle cable from cam disc.
•
Drain off coolant through a hose connected to
the drain plug.
