BMW C 1-Trim panel fastening
– Tighten the trim panel fastenings with a torque
wrench.
X
Tightening torques:
Fasteners, trim panels to frame ...................... 5 Nm
Fasteners, trim panels to trim panels ............. 3 Nm
Exception:
Seat to frame ............................................... 20 Nm
Air manifold to rear mudguard ...................... 12 Nm
Mudguard to drive swinging arm .................. 12 Nm
Air filter to drive swinging arm ...................... 12 Nm
Rear mudguard to drive swinging arm ......... 12 Nm
Removing and installing front

fairing panel
•
Pull forward at bottom as indicated by arrow and
disengage from pins.
When installing:
Grease rubber bushes and pins ....Acid-free grease
•
Engage lugs at top
•
As indicated by the arrows, press in bottom of
panel until pins engage rubber bushes.
Removing and installing or

replacing seat
•
Open seat lock with key.
•
Remove the left or right rear side section.
•
Remove fastener securing seat.
