– Drain the oil.

Remove threaded plug.
•
Remove valve housing (3), spring (2), ball (1).
•
Check sealing face (arrow) for foreign matter.
•
Check ball for damage.
•
Clean valve housing.
•
Check relaxed length of spring.
Wear value:
Spring length............................... 13.4 mm (0.53 in)
•
Installation is the reverse of the removal proce-
dure.
•
Use a new sealing ring.
X
Tightening torques:
Screw plug ................................................... 30 Nm

Replacing oil mesh strainer

Remove threaded plug.
•
Remove and clean oil mesh strainer.
•
Clean threaded plug.
When installing:
•
Apply grease to one end of oil mesh strainer and
affix in this way to threaded plug.
•
Slip a new sealing ring over filter and install to-
gether with oil strainer.
X
Tightening torques:
Screw plug................................................... 30 Nm
