Section 7 • Repair Procedures
FUEL AND HYDRAULIC TANKS
2 Place a suitable container underneath the
hydraulic tank. See capacity specifications
below.
Component damage hazard. The
engine must not be started with
the hydraulic tank shutoff valves in
the
CLOSED
damage will occur. If the tank
valves are closed, remove the key
from the key switch and tag the
machine to inform personnel of the
condition.
3 Remove the drain plug from the hydraulic tank.
4 Completely drain the tank into a suitable
container. See capacity specifications below.
5 Tag, disconnect and plug the two suction hoses
that are attached to the hydraulic tank
shutoff valves.
6 Disconnect and plug the return filter hydraulic
hose at the hydraulic tank. Cap the fitting on the
tank.

7 Disconnect and plug the supply hose for the
auxiliary power unit through the access hole
underneath the turntable. Cap the fitting on the
hydraulic tank.
8 Support the hydraulic tank with an appropriate
lifting device.
9 Remove the hydraulic tank mounting fasteners.
10 Remove the hydraulic tank from the machine.
Crushing hazard. The hydraulic
tank may become unbalanced and
fall if it is not properly supported
by the lifting device.
