7.3 Replacing the Separator Roller

Remove all documents from the stacker.

Open the ADF.
For information on how to open the ADF, refer to
Closing the ADF" (page
20).
Be careful not to have your fingers caught
when the ADF closes.

Remove the separator roller from the scanner.
1 Open the roller cover. Grab the tabs on the left and right with your
fingers and pull down the cover towards you.

2 Pull down the lever which is located on the right-hand side of the
separator roller.

3 Pull down the lever which is located on the left-hand side of the
separator roller.
