3) While working as in step 2), turn the
locking lever © clockwise for a single
notch.
* The developing unit will be fixed in
position while it remains unlocked.

4. Removing the Developing Cylinder
1) Remove the developing assembly from
the copier.
2) Turn the toner cartridge ® clockwise,
and pull it out slowly toward the front.

3) Clean the area around the toner car-
tridge you have removed.
Clean.

4) Remove the five screws @, and remove
the cover @).

Take care not to damage the develop-
ing cylinder and the blade when remov-
ing the blade.
5) Place a newspaper on the floor, and
pour out the toner from the developing
cylinder.
